Whilst a standard font such as Arial or
Times New Roman will be adequate for most situations, there are
occasions, particularly when designing a header or logo, where you may
want a more exciting and unusual font to emphasis your websites style
and ideas. For example, if your website sells balloons and party
supplies then a chunky, comic style font will look much better than a
boring, standard font, as the examples below show :

One thing to remember however, is that
although your new font will work fine on your computer, if your website
visitors do not have that particular font installed on their computers,
their web browsers will replace your new font with a standard font, such
as Arial or Times New Roman. We would therefore recommend that you
only use 'fancy' fonts for creating logos and headers, where the new
font is saved as part of an image. That way it is not necessary
for your website visitors to have the same font installed on their
computers.
