Web Hosting
Web Hosting is a service offered by a hosting company, whereby webmasters buy storage space on a server, where they can store their websites, so that visitors can access them 24/7. When you visit a website, you are connected to the hosting companies server, not the webmasters computer. Hosting companies charge a monthly or yearly fee for this service. |

Web Page
A web page is an individual page of information, that can be viewed on the internet. A web page can be part of a collection of pages that form a website, or it can be a solitary page. |

Web Server
A web server is an advanced computer where webmasters store their websites. Web Servers are constantly connected to the internet, so that the websites they hold are available 24/7. Web Servers can be networked together to give greater storage capacity and quicker response time. You connect to a web server every time you access a website. |

Website
A website is a collection of web-pages with a central theme or idea, with a navigation system that allows visitors to move from one web page to another. |

Whois
Whois is a protocol for submitting a query to a database for determining the owner of a domain name. |

WYSIWYG
WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get, and is a term used to describe a type of html editing software, where the user creates their webpage using tools and menus, so they can see what they are doing as they go, rather than directly editing the html code, which requires extra knowledge and experience. |
